AzuraGel™ Biopolymers

Perhaps most notably, they are among the world’s first, scalable, 100% biobased and biodegradable superabsorbent polymers, providing high-performance, non-toxic, biocompatible alternatives to cross-linked polyacrylates.

Produced through fermentation of 100% renewable biomass such as sugar. AzuraGel biopolymers absorb up to 300 times their weight in water and show improved absorption under load (AUL) over starch-based biopolymers. Our unique production process minimizes costs and maximizes feedstock flexibility.
